From hands-on work to future skills.

My background spans automotive trades, business development, marketing, vocational education and employer engagement. That experience has shaped an interest in how people find opportunities, develop skills and adapt when work changes.

Alongside my professional work, I contribute to community organising and policy discussions, and build digital projects using AI-assisted tools. My current focus is practical AI capability, future skills and the connections between education, employers and community participation.

I am interested in what technology enables people to do, not just what it can demonstrate. That means asking how a tool becomes a useful skill, how a skill connects to real work, and who might otherwise miss out.

Moving between trades, business and education has kept me interested in the point where an idea meets everyday life. A useful pathway has to make sense to the person taking it and to the workplace at the other end.

My full name is Gurpartap Singh Khehra. Friends and colleagues call me GP, so I use GP Singh in professional and community work. To my mother and family I am Babbal, and my books and earlier writing were published as Babbal Khehra. All three names are me, and the original bylines remain part of my work.

In Ego and Enlightenment, I explore how a person can live, work and participate in society while becoming more conscious. Alive considers survival, acceptance and the possibility of contributing to a world we can also question.

That philosophical interest sits alongside the practical work: how people find purpose, how they participate and how they keep their sense of agency when things change.
